First Day AI Announces Partnership with Shopline Inc.

Current plan eligibility: The conditional 45-day placement assurance is available only on the Elite plan. Job Search and standalone Co-Pilot do not include it. Read the assurance terms. Existing purchases remain governed by the terms accepted at purchase.

TL;DR: First Day AI has entered a partnership with Shopline Inc., USA for AI development and support activities, facilitated by LvlUp Ventures. Four focus areas: AI development, technical support, innovation at scale, and greater global opportunities. Nothing changes for candidates already running a plan with us — this deepens the engineering and support capability behind the platform.

Today we're announcing a partnership we've been looking forward to sharing: First Day AI is collaborating with Shopline Inc., USA on AI development and support activities. LvlUp Ventures facilitated the agreement and brought both organizations together, and we're grateful for the work they did to make the introduction.

The first question we expect from our own readers: what does a commerce platform have to do with landing a job? Fair question. The honest answer has two parts.

First, the direct one: nothing about your plan changes. The apply engine, the Interview Intelligence copilot, and the Insider Referral Network keep running the way they run today. The 45-day placement assurance is untouched. This partnership runs alongside the candidate product — it doesn't replace or reprioritize it.

Second, the structural one: First Day AI is, under the hood, an applied-AI engineering team. The resume-tailoring, job-matching, and interview-recall systems our candidates use every day are built by the same people who will do AI development work in this partnership. Work like this compounds. We'd rather grow that capability against real scale and real support discipline than pretend we can grow it in a vacuum.

Here's what we announced, who the partners are, and what it means.

What we announced

The announcement is straightforward: First Day AI will collaborate with Shopline Inc., USA on AI development and support activities. In our own words, from the announcement:

Happy to announce our partnership with SHOPLINE USA! We're excited to collaborate with Shopline Inc. on AI development and support activities, creating opportunities to build innovative, scalable, and impactful AI solutions.

The collaboration runs along four focus areas — the four we put on the announcement card:

  • AI development — building and improving applied AI systems. This is the discipline our entire candidate product already runs on, from resume tailoring to interview recall.
  • Technical support — support operations for the systems the partnership produces. Shipping is the easy half; keeping systems reliable for the people who depend on them is the half that decides whether software is actually good.
  • Innovation at scale — taking work from pilot to production across real global-commerce workloads, where "it works on my laptop" is not an acceptable ending.
  • Greater global opportunities — work that crosses markets, and the opportunities that come with it. The announcement framed this as "from local talent to global opportunities" — for a team built in Chennai, serving candidates in India and the US, that phrase is the whole point.

We'll share specifics as individual workstreams ship. Today is the start of the work, not a recap of it.

The partnership announcement card: First Day AI × Shopline Inc., USA — building the future of global commerce with AI. The card lists the four focus areas (AI development, technical support, innovation at scale, and greater global opportunities) and thanks LvlUp Ventures for facilitating the partnership.

The announcement card, as it ran across our channels.

Who is Shopline Inc.?

SHOPLINE is a global commerce platform used by more than 600,000 merchants worldwide. It powers online storefronts, point-of-sale, social and live commerce, chat commerce, and marketing automation — the software a merchant runs their business on, from first sale to international expansion. In the markets where it operates, it's one of the large platforms in the e-commerce software category.

Shopline Inc., USA is the entity named in the announcement — the company's US arm, serving merchants who sell across channels and borders.

For symmetry: First Day AI is the career platform on the other side of this partnership. An AI apply engine that tailors your resume to each job description and submits across Naukri, Indeed, LinkedIn, and company career pages. An interview copilot — Interview Intelligence — that recalls your own projects, metrics, and stories in live rounds. And the Insider Referral Network of working engineers and hiring managers who refer candidates directly into their teams.

Since 2023, we've run more than 12,000 campaigns: an average of 24 interview calls per campaign, 38 days average time to offer, and 94% of candidates placed within 90 days. The Elite plan includes conditional 45-day placement assurance.

Two different companies, two different products — and the same underlying skill: shipping applied AI that has to work when real people depend on it.

Why this partnership, in plain terms

Three reasons we said yes, in the order that matters.

1. Applied AI is the same discipline everywhere. Whether the system ranks jobs for a candidate in Coimbatore or supports commerce operations for a merchant in Los Angeles, the real work is identical: clean data pipelines, evaluation loops, retrieval that doesn't hallucinate, and support that answers when something breaks. If you've read our breakdown of how AI resume tailoring actually works, you've seen the discipline in miniature. The partnership takes it to a larger stage.

2. Support is where AI products are actually judged. The partnership includes technical support activities deliberately. Support isn't a cost center bolted onto a product — it's half the job, and it's the half most AI companies deprioritize. Both teams would rather build with support in the contract than apologize for it later.

3. Scale changes what you're forced to learn. Global commerce is an unforgiving environment: multilingual data, real-time inventory, money movement, and uptime expectations that don't care about your sprint calendar. A team that learns to build AI for that environment gets better at building AI for any environment — including ours.

What it means for First Day AI candidates

Direct answers, because we'd rather over-explain than over-promise:

  • Your plan doesn't change. Same apply engine, same copilot, same referral network, same placement assurance. If you're mid-campaign, keep going.
  • The capability behind it deepens. Our intent is that engineering capability earned in this partnership flows back into the candidate product. We'll report on that as it happens, not in advance.
  • Global reach is the stated direction. One of the four focus areas is greater global opportunities. As this work takes us into more international contexts, the referral side of our network has more ground to cover. That's a direction, not a switch — and your plan today is unaffected by it.
  • Announcements will read like this one. When something changes for candidates, you'll read it here first, with specifics.

A thank-you to LvlUp Ventures

Partnerships like this don't start with a cold email. They start with someone who knows both sides — in this case, LvlUp Ventures, who facilitated the partnership and brought the two organizations together.

LvlUp is a venture firm that backs founders from pre-seed to later stage, with a network of more than 2,000 extended team members and partner organizations that include companies like Google and Intuit. More to the point: they did the unglamorous work of aligning two companies across two continents on one working agreement, and this announcement exists because of it. Thank you.

What happens next

The work starts now. The first activities under the partnership are AI development and support workstreams, and we'll publish updates on this blog as they land.

For candidates, the practical answer is simple: keep doing what you're doing. If you're actively applying, the playbook in how to apply to 100+ jobs a week is what our engine runs on. If you're preparing for interviews, start with the honest version in using an AI copilot without getting caught. If you're optimizing where recruiters find you, the Naukri profile checklist is the highest-leverage hour you can spend this week.

FAQ: The First Day AI × Shopline partnership

What does the partnership cover?

AI development and technical support activities. Concretely, that means applied AI work — building and improving AI systems — plus the support operations that keep those systems reliable. The announcement named four focus areas: AI development, technical support, innovation at scale, and greater global opportunities. We'll publish specifics as individual workstreams ship.

Who is Shopline Inc.?

SHOPLINE is a global commerce platform used by more than 600,000 merchants for online stores, point-of-sale, social and live commerce, and marketing automation. Shopline Inc., USA is the US arm of the company, and it's the entity First Day AI is partnering with on this agreement.

What is LvlUp Ventures' role?

LvlUp Ventures is the venture firm that facilitated the partnership — they brought both organizations together and worked with both sides on the agreement. They back founders from pre-seed to later stage, with a network of more than 2,000 extended team members and partner organizations that include companies like Google and Intuit. We're grateful for the introduction and the work that made it real.

Does this change First Day AI's product or pricing for candidates?

No. The apply engine, the Interview Intelligence copilot, the Insider Referral Network, and the 45-day placement assurance all continue as they are. There are no product or pricing changes for candidates as part of this announcement — current plans stay exactly as listed on the home page pricing section.

Will First Day AI move away from the job-search product?

No. The career platform remains the core of what we do — it's the product this team was built around, and it's what every plan on the home page is about. The partnership adds AI development and support work alongside the candidate product; it does not replace it.
